HOW DO YOU SOURCE YOUR ITEMS?
Our items are mainly sourced online, both locally and from other parts of Europe. Some items are hunted down on our travels all over the world.
HOW DO YOU SELECT YOUR ITEMS?
We try to look for pieces that are timeless and wearable, this mostly in terms of colour, fit, and cut. Yet, we also look for unique details and character. A Sacred Waste piece elevates your wardrobe and its content already there, while not being just the latest hype, left in the corner of the closet after the must-buy-or-die feeling wears off.
HOW CAN I BE SURE OF THE AUTHENTICITY OF YOUR ITEMS?
We take the authenticity of our items very seriously, which is why we only source from reputable sellers with whom we have established trusted relationships. We also thoroughly examine each item to identify the hallmarks of genuine designer pieces (e.g. stitching, hardware, labels, material quality).
We are confident in our authentication process and stand behind every item we sell. In the unlikely event that you purchase an item from our collection that is later proven to be inauthentic, we will make sure to offer a full refund immediately.
WHAT CONDITION ARE THE ITEMS IN?
Most of our items are in excellent or very good condition. Meaning that they either appear as nearly new or have only minor signs of wear – normal for clothing that has been previously loved. Occasionally, an item might have a very small defect. In such cases, any imperfections are noted in the “Details” section of the product.
HOW DO I KNOW THE ITEM WILL FIT ME?
Although we cannot entirely ensure it will (that’s the most challenging part of online shopping) we have, however, taken several steps to make this process easier for you. Hence, the following information is included on every product page:
Product specific measurements in centimeters
A measuring chart indicating how each measurement is taken
A general size estimate using standard alpha sizing (S, M, L)
A description of the fit (e.g. body-hugging, loose, slim)
The size of the model on product images.

HOW DO YOU SET THE PRICES OF YOUR ITEMS?
Firstly, we evaluate the designer and its current market demand.
We look at the condition of the item and its uniqueness.
If applicable, any repair and/or cleaning costs and efforts are considered.
If there were any shipping or travel expenses associated with acquiring the item, they are factored in.
We include fixed costs and one-off costs necessary to run the business, such as website maintenance, domain fees, branding materials, etc.
Lastly, although we love it, the time and effort invested in sourcing each piece are also considered.
HOW OFTEN DO YOU ADD NEW ITEMS TO THE COLLECTION?
We don’t do seasons and defy the traditional winter/summer timetable inherent to the industry addicted to continual excitement. As curating second-hand is a gradual and often unpredictable process, we follow our own timeline and bring the best selection to you when it becomes possible.
